scrbbl-new — submit a scrobble

scrbbl new [option ...] artist title [at]

scrbbl-new submits a new scrobble.

This is a scrbbl(1) command.

This command requires login. See scrbbl-login(1) for how to login.

The arguments are as follows:

artist
Artist.
title
Track title.
[at]
Time of the scrobble. If not provided, the current time is used.

The time format is 'YYYY-mm-dd HH:MM:SS'. Timezone is the local timezone.

The options are as follows:

album
Album. If unspecified, scrobbles with no album.
artist
Album artist. If unspecified, the album artist is the same as the artist.

Add a new scrobble with the specified artist and title at the current time

scrbbl new foo bar

Add a new scrobble with the specified artist, title and album at the specified time

scrbbl new foo bar --album baz '2026-03-15 12:00:00'
